Catch laptop neck while you work
LaptopNeck uses the webcam already on your desk to watch how your head sits over your shoulders. When you drift forward and stay there, it tells you. Pose detection runs in your browser tab, and video frames are never uploaded.

Built to stay open beside your work
- Pose estimation stays in the tab
- The model runs in your browser. No server receives your frames, so there is nothing to upload.
- Light enough to idle all day
- Low camera resolution, a lite model and a 6 fps cap let it sit next to your editor without loading your machine.
- Written for IT review
- Local-only mode, no third-party analytics, and a plain-language privacy page for your security team.
Stretches and a two-minute reset loop
Alerts are one half. Coach has chin tucks, trap and chest stretches, wall angels and desk-setup checks, plus guided loops you can run after an alert.
Open CoachAfter an alert
Chin tuck, blade squeeze and upper trap stretch, two minutes in the chair.
Stretches
Neck, chest and thoracic openers you can do at a laptop desk.
Strength and setup
Wall angels, chin-tuck reps, screen height and sit bones.
How it decides
- Calibrate once. Sit in your working posture for a few seconds. The baseline lives in this browser, never in a cloud pose profile.
- Measure head and shoulders. Forward head is your ears relative to your shoulders, including a level chin sliding toward the screen. Shoulder roll is rounding inward or rolling toward the camera.
- Wait for sustained drift. Reaching for a mug is ignored. Alerts fire only after 8 to 15 seconds of sustained drift.
Your webcam stream never leaves your computer. Scores can optionally sync when you sign in, and that sync never includes video. The proof page shows a live upload meter that should stay at 0 video bytes.
